THE FLOODS IN PAKISTAN: an emergency

Urgence: INONDATIONS AU PAKISTAN

The most devastating floods have hit Pakistan during the end of July 2010, as result of the unprecedent torrential monsoon downpours. This is the worse natural catastrophe in the country's history.
We have decided to help a specific village called Khesgi in the district of Nowshera, one of the worst-hit areas near the Afghan border. The people have suffered from every calamity, including the Taliban, the fall-out from the events in Afghanistan and now these dreadful floods that have rendered 500 families destitute, largely homeless, their belongings lost, their cattle drowned.
The reason we picked this particular place is that Carol has been there and knows the family that is organizing aid. Which why we fully trust our long-time friend Khalid, who is a journalist in Peshawar and lives in Khesgi, with his family. At least with the Khesgi Foundation, the money will not vanish into thin air and the needy people will receive the benefits of your generosity

Les inondations les plus désastreuses ont frappé le Pakistan en fin juillet 2010, à la suite d'une mousson sans précédent. C'est la plus grande catastrophe naturelle dans l'histoire de ce pays. Nous avons décidé de venir en aide à un village nommé Khesgi, situé dans le district de Nowshera, une des zones qui a subi le plus de dommages, située près de la frontière afghane. Les habitants ont d'ailleurs souffert de toutes les calamités imaginables, y compris les Talibans, les effets de la guerre en Afghanistan. et ces inondations ont détruit la vie de 500 familles, leurs habitations détruites et leur bétail noyé .
La raison pour laquelle FemAid a choisi ce village, c'est parce que Carol le connaît personnellement, ainsi que la famille qui administre l'aide. C'est pourquoi nous faisons tout à fait confiance à notre ami de longue date Khalid, un journaliste de Peshawar qui habite à Khesgi. Au moins avec la Khesgi Foundation, l'argent ne s'évaporera pas et les personnes survivant actuellement dans une situation effrayante recevront votre aide.
